Ministers of the Word (Lectors)
The lector proclaims the Scriptures and enhances' the Word of God. Participants for this ministry should possess confidence in speaking before a group, be easily understood, and be a believer in the Word. A one-day training period is held in March and October and in conjunction with the Ministry Fair. A trained Minister of the Word is certified for three years before needing re-certification.
